The Hamptons Travel Guide

Oh, “The Hamptons.” A place I only ever knew because of Nancy Meyers films. I always thought it had such charm & mystery. Something about being near the water with a chill in the air really inspires me. So last fall, I decided The Hamptons was it…and let me say… it WAS, plus more. My bestie and I traveled to Bridgehampton for a private dinner series called It’s A Dinner which is a seasonal, five course ticketed dinner that takes place across the U.S every year. I was sold, not only because it would take place in the Hamptons, but on a private vineyard—The Bridgehampton Estate. Being only a short train ride from the city, we had another friend join us for the evening of magic. The event was wonderful, starting with great food and conversation, and ending with party favors. If you like exploring places where the road is less traveled, definitely follow ‘It’s a Dinner’s’ dining schedule. You’ll surely be introduced to places you may have never thought of traveling to before. I’ll actually be going to my second dinner at the end of the month in Vinalhaven, ME. So stay tuned for that coastal guide as well!

STAY //

The evening of our dinner, we stayed in Bridgehampton at A Room at The Beach’ which is fully furnished and designed by Serena and Lily. So needless to say, it was the perfect coastal dream. It only has 8 rooms, so it’s very quaint. The rest of the trip we stayed in a cozy Airbnb guest house—I would absolutely stay here again despite how small it was. The location for us, was key, being only steps away from the bay—and the sauna, private hot tub, & outdoor shower didn’t hurt the lure factor either. We even decided to build our own fire waterside, on one of the nights as it was such a short walk. Our hosts were also very kind and accommodating. I give this spot an 8/10 and have linked it HERE.

EAT //

The next few days consisted mostly of wine-ing and dining. If you like to eat through a town while traveling, then I recommend getting a rental car so you can bop around without an agenda. See below for some of the many stops we made for eats & cocktails.
